2026-Apr-13Lansing Independent Comics & Zine Fest (LICZ) is this Saturday, April 18! I'll be hanging out at the Nib Rot table with copies of Nib Rot, both issues of Rimki Comix, a few remaining copies of the UP minicomic, and a brand new mini, Adjuster n.1.
Adjuster is an ongoing experimental zine. The first issue includes sketchbook drawings of singers, which became a recurring motif for some reason. It also includes two short dream comics, Barefoot Omen and Mall Bar. I welcome interpretations, as well as feedback in general. If you get a copy of Adjuster at LICZ and mention that you heard about it from this site, I'll throw in a free sticker printed exclusively for the event.
Hope to see you in Lansing on Saturday!

Zine Jamboree was great fun at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse on Saturday. I had a prime spot near the entrance between tableneighbors @sewer_brats and Madeleine Lyon. The stock of UP that I brought sold out. Thanks everyone who bought one! There are still copies available through Gosh Comics, and I have a few more set aside for the next show, but then it's out-of-print.
And speaking of next shows, I'll be at Lansing Independent Comics & Zine Fest (LICZ) in three weeks on Saturday, April 18. I'll have the sketchbook zine I've been working on, Adjuster n.1, which unfortunately wasn't finished in time for Zine Jamboree, and hopefully an additional new mini if I can keep the momentum going.

What was intended to be a free minicomic version of the Nib Rot anthology has now fallen by the wayside. Tin Orb was a concept that went through several iterations but never melded into a viable project. Here’s the cover, the last remnant of Tin Orb:

On March 28, come find me at Zine Jamboree at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse. I'm debuting a new minicomic: Adjuster n.1, a collection of sketchbook drawings and dream comics. I'll also have UP, Nib Rot n.1, Rimki Comix (including The Garden Cat), and some stickers, bookmarks, and prints. See you there!

Rimki's new comic The Garden Cat has arrived! It's an expansive autobiographical journey through the sights, scents, dreams, and frustrations of a man reluctantly seeking to gain the trust of a feral neighborhood cat while juggling the pressures of the daily grind. Along the way, the artist reflects on the nature of consciousness, takes measure of the ebb and flow of creative engagement, and makes a strong case for the value of making hand-drawn printed comics in opposition to feeding the social media attention-theft algorithms. Copies are available at the link above, and I'll also have copies at my table at upcoming shows (TBA).
The letters column includes a few pages from a comics interview zine I sent to Rimki in response to Rimki Comix v.1: Land of the Dead, in which I left his speech balloons blank for him to fill in his replies. Here are the first and last pages of the interview, which don't appear in The Garden Cat:

2026-Feb-05The new issue of Comics Blogger (n.15) includes a review of UP, as well as dozens of pages of short interviews from Destination Dealers Con and a long interview with Sammy Harkham. Go get it!
Also, a bit of site maintenance: All 2025 updates (including sample pages from UP) have moved to the Archive.
